Panel Discussion on Drug and Alcohol Abuse TVI continued its Speaker Series on Drug and Alcohol Abuse by hosting a session at the University of Papua New Guinea (UPNG) on Friday the 7 of July 2023 and was attended by 150 participants and was the first of four similar events planned for UPNG. The event featured a screening of a Youth Tok episode on Alcohol Abuse and a panel discussion to further unpack the issue. The panel included Dr. Glen Mola ,the Professor of ObGyn & Reproductive Health at UPNG School of Medical & Health Sciences, Barbara Thomas Elias the Senior Programs Manager for The Voice Inc. (TVI) and Gloria Mabiria the 2023, UPNG SRC Female Vice President. Dr. Mola spoke on the negative impacts of alcohol, betelnut and tobacco, urging participants to avoid consuming such substances.
